Pastor Jacob Sherry

Welcome

                Trinity Lutheran Church of Onekama is served by Rev. Jacob Sherry.  He is married to his wife Jessica and they have four children, Sarah, Leah, Charlie, and Gabriel. They arrived from Kansas on Dec. 1.
                Jacob attended various Lutheran schools in his elementary education in Millington, Michigan, Crookston, Minnesota, and Bay City, Michigan.  He attended Valley Lutheran High School in Saginaw, Michigan and graduated in 2005.  He then attended Concordia University Wisconsin in Mequon, Wisconsin where he received degrees in Pre-Seminary Studies and Theological Languages.  He graduated in 2009 and attended Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, Indiana to study to become a pastor.  He was a vicar at Living Word Lutheran Church in The Woodlands, Texas and graduated from Concordia Theological Seminary in 2013.  His first call out of seminary was to be the sole pastor of St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Palmer, Kansas.  He received a call to serve Trinity Lutheran Church in Onekama, Michigan and accepted it in October 2018.  He was installed on December 3rd with eight local pastors assisting.
